Azithromycin - Introduction
Also known by its brand name: Zithromax, Zithromax Tri-Pak, Zithromax Z-Pak, Zmax, Azithromycin is a prescription medicine used to treat bacterial infections in several parts of the body. Respiratory infections, skin infections, ear infections, eye infections and certain STDs can be treated using this drug. The medicine belongs to the class of drugs known as macrolide antibiotics and works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth.
Important: The medicine cannot be used for treatment of cold, flu or viral infections. It might mask or delay the symptoms of Syphilis, but isn’t effective against the infection. This makes it necessary to be taken under strict supervision by registered healthcare providers.
Necessary Precautions
